In honor of Eric Prydz‘s EP/IC 2.0 shows this weekend at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York, we present an appropriate throwback. “Call On Me” was the song that took Prydz from underground to commercial success, largely in part due to the provocative music video that came along with it. It’s not widely known that Prydz did not actually consent to the video. As a result, we won’t be posting it here, but you’ve definitely seen it. In it’s prime, “Call On Me” was being played out in Ibiza by the likes of Carl Cox and other massive DJs. Because Prydz did not agree with the over-commercialization of the song, he no longer plays it in his sets.
